Arrive Lhasa
Arrive in Lhasa, capital of Tibet and literally meaning "place of the gods". At 12,000 ft the remainder of the day is at leisure to help you get accustomed to the high altitude.
DAY 8 & 9:
Lhasa (Breakfast/Lunch)
Two days in this wonderful city visiting Norbulinka (Summer Palace), Sera Temple, the amazing Potala Palace, and Jokhang Temple.
DAY 10:
Lhasa / Xian (Breakfast/Lunch)
Fly to Xian, capital of the Shaanxi Province, and world-renowned for its cultural and historical significance as well as the abundant relics and sites.
DAY 11:
Xian (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Full day excursion to the excavation site of the 2200 year old Terra Cotta Warriors. Listed by UNESCO in 1987 as one of the world cultural heritages, there are over 7,000 pottery soldiers, horses, chariots, and it is one of the most sensational archeological discoveries of all times. The day is perfectly completed by a visit to the beautiful Huaching Hot Springs followed by an evening at the amazing Tang Dynasty Dinner Show.
DAY 12:
Xian / Shanghai (Breakfast/Lunch)
Today we board a plane on a domestic flight to Shanghai, the busiest, most modern city in China.
DAY 13:
Shanghai (Breakfast/Lunch)
A full day touring this fast-growing city allows us to visit the latest Financial Center, for a bird's eye-view of the city, walk along the Bund and Nanjing Road, and enjoy the rich collection of artifacts at the Shanghai Museum.
DAY 14:
Depart Shanghai (Breakfast)
Conclude this fascinating tour by riding the Maglev Train to the airport for your return flight, taking home a lifetime of memories.
